A Novo Theater will be set up in Krishnanagar, Khulna

A Novo Theater is going to be set up in Khulna, the third largest district and the second largest port city of the country, to make the new generation interested in space science and technology education. The theater named Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theater will be in Krishnanagar mouza of Batiaghata upazila of Khulna district covering a total area of ​​10 acres. The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has already approved a project worth Tk 553.84 crore to create scientific ideas among the people and create opportunities for non-formal education and entertainment. According to the Planning Commission, the proposed "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theater, Khulna Establishment" project under the Ministry of Science and Technology is scheduled to be implemented by March 31, 2024. The project will be implemented by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theater Authority in Dhaka. According to the Planning Commission, the 8th Five-Year Plan of the government has called for increasing the capacity of science and technology in education and giving high priority to science and technology in modern research. In this regard, the project is in line with the objectives and goals of the 8th Five Year Plan of the government. The project was included in the list of new projects without allocation in the ADP for the current fiscal year 2021-22, the commission said. It has been learned that like Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theater in Dhaka, this Novo Theater will also have a mesmerizing perforated aluminum screen in the hemispherical room. There will be GSS Helios projector from Goto company of Japan. It creates various special effects. There will be Astro-vision 70 projectors, which make the viewer's senses much more alert while watching the planets and stars in the film. In addition, the whole scene seems alive when you sit down to watch a film with such a high-quality projector with a huge aluminum screen. So, this exhibition of Novo Theater will be a lifelong memory.
